  187. .SH "DESCRIPTION"
  188. .IX Header "DESCRIPTION"
  189. All of the functions described on this page are deprecated. There are no
  190. available replacement functions at this time.
  191. .PP
  192. The \s-1SRP\s0 functions described on this page are used to calculate various
  193. parameters and keys used by \s-1SRP\s0 as defined in \s-1RFC2945.\s0 The server key and \fIB\fR
  194. and \fIu\fR parameters are used on the server side and are calculated via
  195. \&\fBSRP_Calc_server_key()\fR, \fBSRP_Calc_B_ex()\fR, \fBSRP_Calc_B()\fR, \fBSRP_Calc_u_ex()\fR and
  196. \&\fBSRP_Calc_u()\fR. The client key and \fBx\fR and \fBA\fR parameters are used on the
  197. client side and are calculated via the functions \fBSRP_Calc_client_key_ex()\fR,
  198. \&\fBSRP_Calc_client_key()\fR, \fBSRP_Calc_x_ex()\fR, \fBSRP_Calc_x()\fR and \fBSRP_Calc_A()\fR. See
  199. \&\s-1RFC2945\s0 for a detailed description of their usage and the meaning of the various
  200. \&\s-1BIGNUM\s0 parameters to these functions.
  201. .PP
  202. Most of these functions come in two forms. Those that take a \fIlibctx\fR and
  203. \&\fIpropq\fR parameter, and those that don't. Any cryptogrpahic functions that
  204. are fetched and used during the calculation use the provided \fIlibctx\fR and
  205. \&\fIpropq\fR. See \*(L"\s-1ALGORITHM FETCHING\*(R"\s0 in \fBcrypto\fR\|(7) for more details. The variants
  206. that do not take a \fIlibctx\fR and \fIpropq\fR parameter use the default library
  207. context and property query string. The \fBSRP_Calc_server_key()\fR and \fBSRP_Calc_A()\fR
  208. functions do not have a form that takes \fIlibctx\fR or \fIpropq\fR parameters because
  209. they do not need to fetch any cryptographic algorithms.
  210. .SH "RETURN VALUES"
